Before becoming a Christian, Rusty sang and played professionally for about 15 years. Since then, he turned his music over to the Lord.  Each original song Rusty sings has a message about things he's learned and experienced through his walk with the Lord.   His style has many sounds which are influenced by country to Elvis and range from ballads to rhythm and blues.

Rusty Leyden is from Macedon, NY. and has been a Christian singer/songwriter for over 20 years. He has ministered in churches, prisons, and coffeehouses. He was on a worship team at his church, when the Lord began to tug at his heart and draw him out of it. He heard the Lord clearly speak to him and tell him that He had not called him to be a ‘worship leader’ but a ‘music minister’ and that there was a difference. Rusty has been called to minister to the body of Christ. For those who are hurting and need to be loved, encouraged, and given hope. Many people have been touched by the songs God has given him. Rusty has been asking, seeking, and knocking, and going where the Lord will lead him.  He is currently ministering through music in churches and coffeehouses, and Christian music festivals.
